Built by someone who had to figure it out the hard way.

My name is David Davidson, creator of Virtual Vibes Ventures. I am 62 years old. I am a high school graduate. No college degree. No fancy tech background. No insider connections. No perfect roadmap. No polished origin story where everything magically clicked at 25 years old. That was not my path. My path was grit. Trial and error. Long days. Hard lessons. Wrong turns. Starting over. Buying into things I should have questioned harder. Looking for answers in a world full of noise, hype, promises, shortcuts, saturated buzzwords, and shiny tools.

I graduated from the School of Hard Knocks. I learned the old-school way. By doing. By failing. By getting back up. By paying attention after life had already knocked the wind out of me. I was baptized by fire. And looking back now, I can say something I could not always say before:

Turns out, that fire was teaching me.

At the time, I did not always understand the lesson. Life was teaching me exactly what I needed to know, but for a long time, I was not coachable enough to see it. I kept grinding, but I did not always understand why. I was miserable. And what do we know about misery?

Misery loves company.

I was so miserable, in fact, that on one occasion while I was driving in the car with my daughter, I was lost deep in thought. I was talking, but I was not even aware I was saying anything until my daughter asked, “Dad, why are you saying that?” I had no idea what she was talking about. I asked her, “Saying what?” She replied, “You were saying, ‘I’m stuck. I’m stuck.’”

Ouch.

That one hit me. But now I see it differently. I was not stuck. I was unclear. And there is a big difference. Because somewhere deep down, I always believed there had to be a better way. I often quoted that to myself for motivation. I did not know exactly what the better way was yet. But I knew it existed.

I knew it wasn’t this.

There was a scene in the movie Freedom Writers that also hit me pretty hard. The teacher was trying to impress upon her student’s society’s “ideal” standard or practicality of equality for all people, but one of the student’s took offense to her ideal perception of equality and quickly chimed in:

“It ain’t this.”

His comment was a reflection of the gap that exists between the “ideal” message of equality versus the lived reality for most of her students. That line stuck with me. Because that was exactly how I felt. I was working. I was showing up. I was clocking in, getting paid, paying the bills, and driving a new car, and appearing as if all was well. But that couldn’t have been further from the truth. In spite of what things may have looked like on the outside, on the inside, I was miserable. I had not found the scratch to my itch. I had not found the thing that made the struggle feel connected to a bigger purpose. At the time, my bigger purpose was freedom from low self-esteem. I needed to feel accomplished. Not just busy. Not just employed. Not just useful to someone else’s plan.

Accomplished.

And my employer could not provide that for me. I was still working for someone else, making someone else’s dream come true, helping someone else find their gold mine. Though later in life, much later, it hit me. I was standing on my own gold mine the whole time. But I could not see it because I was blinded by the feeling of being unsuccessful. There were times I could barely look at myself in the mirror. That is a hard truth to admit. But it is part of the story. And it is also part of why Virtual Vibes Ventures exists. Because sometimes the thing you are looking for is not missing. Sometimes it is buried under years of doubt, disappointment, confusion, and believing you are less capable than you really are. But even then, I kept believing there had to be a better way.

I was searching for the scratch to the itch.

For years, I knew something was off. The online world kept selling dreams, but very few people were explaining the steps clearly. People would say:

• “Start an online business.”
• “Use AI.”
• “Build a brand.”
• “Create digital products.”
• “Automate everything.”
• “Make money while you sleep.”

But I kept asking the question most people skipped:

Then what?

That question became the foundation of Virtual Vibes Ventures.

Because for people like me, and maybe people like you, the problem was not always a lack of effort.

It was a lack of clarity.

We were not always stuck. Sometimes we were just unclear. And when the picture is unclear, the grind feels heavy. But when the picture becomes clearer, the grind starts to change.

• It gains direction.
• It gains purpose.
• It gains meaning.

That is when the grind becomes more than survival. That is when it starts leading somewhere.

I did not start with credentials. I started with questions.

I was not early. I was not polished. I was not formally trained. I was just unwilling to quit. I never stopped grinding. I spent years trying to understand online income, digital tools, AI, marketing, funnels, products, content, and all the noise that comes with it. I have seen plenty of claims that sound amazing on the surface but fall apart when you ask basic questions.

That is why Virtual Vibes Ventures exists.

Not to sell people another dream. But to help people slow down, ask better questions, and build with more clarity. I am not here because I had every answer from the beginning. I am here because life kept teaching me, and eventually I became coachable enough to learn from it. And now, because of what I have lived, I believe I can help coach others through some of the confusion too.

Not from a tower. Not from a pedestal. From experience.

From mistakes. From persistence. From the School of Hard Knocks.

Virtual Vibes Ventures is for:

That is who I built this for. Because I am one of those people. And for the people in my age group, especially those who have spent decades working, providing, sacrificing, and wondering if there is still something more, I want to say this clearly:

• You are not done.
• You may be tired.
• You may be frustrated.
• You may be unclear.
• You may have been overlooked.
• You may have spent years helping someone else build their dream.
• But that does not mean your story is finished.
• You are not done if you have not found the scratch to your itch.

I am not here to pretend everything is easy. I am not here to tell you every opportunity is a scam either. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle.  

• Some tools are useful.
• Some offers are garbage.
• Some people are teaching real things.
• Some people are selling smoke.
• Some ideas can work.
• Some ideas need to be tested before you waste your time or money.

That is why we ask:

Then what?

Because once you learn to ask better questions, the shiny promises start losing some of their power.

The grind never clocks out.

This brand was not born from comfort. It came from pressure, frustration, persistence, and the refusal to stay unclear forever. There were plenty of times I could have quit. Plenty of times I probably had a good excuse to quit. But I did not.

• I kept looking.
• I kept learning.
• I kept asking questions.
• I kept searching for the scratch to the itch.

And at 62 years old, I found a new beginning. So yes:

Endeavor the Perseverance.

• Rise and shine.
• Keep on keeping on.
• Keep the fire burning.
• Embrace the Grind.
• Because the grind never clocks out.
• It just waits for me to clock back in.

But here is what I understand now:

• The grind is not supposed to be meaningless.
• The grind needs a picture.
• The grind needs a reason.
• The grind needs a why.

Because when the big picture becomes clear, the grind gains clarity. It gains purpose. It gains direction. And somewhere inside that clarity is where you may begin to find your own gold mine.

My purpose changed.

At one point, my purpose was freedom from low self-esteem. I needed to feel accomplished. I needed to know I was more than stuck. But over time, that purpose shifted.

Now it is about legacy.

I want to leave something tangible behind for my children and grandchildren. Something they can be proud of. Something they can point to and say,

“He built that.”

I do not want them to endure the same frustrations I felt from spending years working for someone else, making someone else’s dream come true, helping someone else find their gold mine while I was standing on my own.

• I needed to become my own boss.
• Set my own rules.
• Make my own schedule.
• Build something that belonged to me.

And now, I want to leave that as a departing gift to my children and grandchildren.

Not just money. Not just memories. But proof.

• Proof that it is never too late to start.
• Proof that ordinary people can build meaningful things.
• Proof that your story, your experience, your pain, your lessons, and your perseverance can become something valuable.

That is the legacy I am trying to build.

So I ask you the same question.

If you are trying to build something, change something, escape something, or become something more, I want you to pause for a minute and look within yourself.

Deeply.

Ask yourself why. What is really driving you? Is it money? Freedom? Pride?
Pain? Fear? Legacy? Low self-esteem? The need to prove somebody wrong?
The need to finally prove something to yourself?

There is a moment in the movie Field of Dreams that has always stuck with me. Ray Kinsella is a farmer in Iowa who hears the voice, “If you build it, he will come.” Acting on faith, vision, and a deep connection to his father’s memory, he builds a baseball field in the middle of his cornfield. At one point, Ray makes it clear that he did not do it because he was looking for money, fame, or personal gain. He says he never asked what was in it for him. Then Shoeless Joe challenges him with a question that cuts straight through the noise:

“Is that why you did it? For you?”

That question hit me hard. Because that is the kind of question that does not just ask what you are doing. It asks why you are doing it. It forces you to look past the surface answer. Past the nice answer. Past the answer you tell other people. Maybe even past the answer you have been telling yourself. At first, Ray believes he built the field for someone else. For his father. For healing. For memory. For something bigger than himself. But the deeper truth is harder to face. Part of it was for him too. And that line cut me deep. It pierced my heart, my soul, and my mind. Because at one point, yes, I think that was part of it for me too. I wanted to feel accomplished. I wanted to stop feeling stuck. I wanted to look in the mirror and feel like I was finally becoming the man I earnestly desired to become.

I wanted to prove that all the struggle, all the mistakes, all the setbacks, all the wasted time, and all the lessons actually meant something. But I was not seeing the big picture yet. I had it wrong. Not completely wrong. But incomplete. Because the bigger purpose was not just me.

• It was my children.
• My grandchildren.
• My legacy.

• The people I might help.
• The people who feel stuck like I felt stuck.
• The people who are standing on their own gold mine but cannot see it yet.

The people who have lived through things, learned things, survived things, built things, fixed things, taught things, failed at things, and overcome things, but still do not realize how much value is buried inside their own experience.

That is why I challenge you. Do not just ask what you want to build.

• Ask why you want to build it.
• Ask who you are really doing it for.
• Ask what your life has been preparing you to understand.
• Ask what problem keeps pulling at you.
• Ask what keeps bothering you.
• Ask what keeps showing up in your mind over and over again.
• Ask what scratch you are looking for.

Because when the why gets clear, the grind starts to mean something different.

• It stops being punishment.
• It becomes purpose.
• It becomes direction.
• It becomes fuel.
• It becomes the reason why you keep going when nobody is clapping.
• It becomes the reason why you keep building when nobody understands.
• It becomes the reason why you stop listening to the noise.

And it becomes the reason why, one day, somebody else may be able to look at your story and say:

“That helped me keep going.”

Find the scratch to your itch.

And when you start doing that soul searching, remember this:

• Only you can determine what kind of day you will have.
• Only you can determine the level of success you are willing to pursue.

The scoffers do not get to make that decision for you. Their opinions do not control your direction. Their doubts do not define your potential. That is just noise.

And when you are locked in on your purpose, you are not listening to the noise.

You have it blocked out.

• What noise?
• I don’t hear anything.
• Exactly.

• You are focused on the mission.
• You are focused on the work.
• You are focused on becoming the person you are capable of becoming.
• You are not defined by your failures.
• You are defined by your persistence.

Every battle won, no matter how small, is still a victory.

So, find your scratch to your itch.

• Find the thing that keeps pulling at you.
• Find the thing that makes the grind mean something.
• Find the thing your life may have been preparing you for all along.

There you can hope to find your gold mine.

Then start digging.

You may see Virtual Vibes Ventures represented through helicopters, command centers, kings, warriors, robots, assistants, futuristic systems, and bold 3D graphics. That is not because I think I am above anybody. It is because dreams need pictures.

Those pictures are my vision board.

They represent:

• the fight,
• the mission,
• the imagination,
• the ambition,

and the belief that a regular person can still build something meaningful.

A person can dream.

And sometimes that dream is what keeps you moving long enough to finally build something real.
